Figuring out what it means to be made for love

Happy birthday, Fall Like Rain!

It's my first book's tenth birthday. :)

Hello! It’s been a while, again. I always say that I will blog more often, but once again…life. But we all know that.

There is a big reason why I am posting today! It’s Fall Like Rain‘s tenth (!!!) birthday!

Facebook post screenshot with text, "Waaaay overdue, but Fall Like Rain is *finally* published. Thank you for the encouragement/inspiration/support (and subtle pressure, haha). :D"
My first post about the book in the old #romanceclass Facebook group 🙂

A fun fact that I only realized this week: I always thought that Rain’s book birthday is September 29, because I meant to have it live on a payday. But apparently, its publish date on Amazon was on September 27 — so technically, this is already late. Woops!

Cupcakes to celebrate today with the first and second edition of Fall Like Rain.

I had some sort of plan last year to release a new edition, but again, life happened — I got sick, I got a new role at work, and I completely forgot about it until I dug through my notes when I was writing something.

So, while it would’ve been cooler to announce something like “yay, new book edition,” I still plan some things to celebrate today – besides getting Brazo de Mercedes cupcakes, that is. 🙂

Now available on more retailers

Fall Like Rain is now on Draft2Digital, which means it’s available to more retailers! It’s still in progress for some places, but as of this post, it’s available on Apple Books (in select countries), Kobo, Smashwords, Fable, and Everand! Check out the full list here!

And yes, it’s still available on Amazon.

It’s also on sale

And now that Rain is on more retailers, it’s a perfect time for a sale, right? Get Fall Like Rain for US$0.99 on all retailers starting today until October 31! 🙂

Don’t feel like buying yet?

There’s still a way to read it! I’m putting the full version of the Fall Like Rain on my Wattpad. We have 8 chapters as of today! Go try it out, and thanks in advance, if you decide to get it. 🙂

But wait, there’s more

I love reading extra scenes in books, so naturally I also have some for Rain and Mark. One of them is Dream Destination, which I also posted here, and the ones I published before – Presents (high angst) and Game Night (cutesy). Then there’s a sort of new one, which I believe I shared for a #romanceclass themed month before, called Not Mine (also v angsty).

And still, more – there’s one more extra scene I’m working on, another post-The End story, set after Dream Destination. I unfortunately started questioning myself yesterday so I had to fix some of the plot holes, but I will be posting it here. Watch out for more!

One more time, in order!

  • Not Mine – angst, pining, 4 years before.
  • Presents – more angst and pining, set a year before.
  • Fall Like Rain – the full version, publishing in progress!
  • Game Night – cutesy things, set before Chapter 12.
  • Dream Destination – cutesy, travel story, set three years after.
  • Every Single Day – maybe some angst, but it’s a happy one, promise! Coming soon, set three months after Dream Destination.

Okay, I think that’s it? Once again, I hope I could’ve given you all something cooler, but I hope these would be fun for you, too. 🙂

I think I may have mentioned this before, but I have complicated feelings with this book sometimes — I love it, but sometimes I feel like I don’t like it as much as I liked Faith and Nico, or my current works in progress. Maybe it’s because it’s my first book, so I always feel like it’s a little rough around the edges. It could also be because this was the book that I read a lot of reader reviews, so there were a lot of things that I shouldn’t have read. ^^;

But one time last year, I read the book again on a flight home and I realized that it wasn’t bad. It was the book I needed to write at the time I wrote it, and I actually do like it. I should stop being so hard on myself, or on Rain and Mark.

So here! Happy ten years to my first book, the book that made me an author. Thank you for being here, and if you’re new here, I hope you enjoy reading. 💙
